Liked: The location is SO good! It’s really close to Piccadilly station so it’s great for getting public transport including the free city buses and rail replacement buses. Despite the proximity to the trains and trams, I found it very quiet. It’s also kind of at the intersection of Chinatown, the Gay Village, and some of the Northern Quarter too so most shops and restaurants are really walkable.The room was super comfortable, very clean, and air conditioned which I really appreciated in the heatwave. There are a lot of power sockets, both UK and EU compatible which is very handy.Reception is open 24 hours and the staff are all great. You can leave your bags in a secure place after checking out. The lobby had a nice design and was very comfy, and importantly had a lot of power sockets so people can charge their devices, which was helpful for me as I waited for my train. There’s also a self-service concierge kiosk from where you can call an Uber or book tours within and around Manchester.
Disliked: I was by myself so the double room was a great size for me, but I can see it being tight for two people especially if they have large suitcases.The shower had my pet peeve which is a glass partition that only covers half the length of it, so you need to strategically position the bath mat to avoid getting the floor wet.I also would have liked to have at least two bins (one for the room and one for the bathroom) or maybe a separate bin for recycling.None of these are dealbreakers though, just little things that would be nice to have! I still would absolutely stay here again next time I’m in Manchester.

Liked: Ease of access to railway station to connect to airport and restaurants.. Staff very friendly, rooms clean and modern with large TV. Breakfast excellent. Great hotel.
