Pricey but nice hotel with...
Liked: Location is fantastic: a stone's throw away from the Royal Mile and flanked by a number of great pubs and eating places. It is also literally opposite to one of the entrances to the Waverley Station, and bus stops etc. are all within 30 sec/1 min from the hotel entrance. What is daunting are the prices for the rooms: quite dear, and at almost GBP 200 per night, facilities that one would normally associate with the price, e.g. a proper wardrobe, or a safe, were not available. However, the staff were very helpful and pleasant and happy to help.
Disliked: Price--as mentioned, way too much for the facilities available; although location was excellent, and couldn't have been better.

The art of welcoming.
Liked: Location is perfect in city center.Very clean and nice room. With extra space.Nice lobby with city view.
Disliked: We stayed at Motel One in Market Street Friday to Sunday this weekend.I booked Tuesday to Wednesday also. Big surprise when we were told to go to the "sister hotel" in Princes Street. Short walk, but with heavy luggage, quite annoying. Arriving at the reception desk carrying our big bags we eventually got attention. What do you want?? She askes. Eriksen it is, I say. Do you want to check in?? Yes please. I show the confirmation mail with the confirmation number. What is your name? Can you spell it? I am a bit stressed now, but I find my name in writing. After this unfortunate welcoming, everything was quite alright.
