Disappointed in the uncleanliness

Liked: It was super convenient..easy to access
Disliked: The floor and carpet felt and looked unclean..stains and rips. The shower drain was broken And still had someone elses soap suds in the bottom There was a funny smell to the room and although they had put a room smelly to try to Cover it up. (Smelt like cookies according to my husband) but no cooking facility in room..There were spiders everywhere We had booked for 3 of us but only enough plates ,towels etc for 2 You couldnt go outside our room as the grounds were completely over grown and a total mess.. its says no pets but the lady living next door had 3 dogs

Liked: The ratings and reviews for this place are so over the top. I've given this the highest rating for everything to bring its score up because it doesn't deserve the reviews. Yes it is old, Yes some cupboards are broken, Yes there's the odd stain. But it was CLEAN and COMFORTABLE and a huge room! AND it's so ridiculously cheap!! What do you expect to get for that price in Auckland?? And it's so close to the centre! The location is amazing! We couldn't believe how expensive other accommodation in Auckland was and so we went for here, expecting horror based on reviews, but only needed it for one night. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. If you are like us, just need a good location for buses, trains to explore,, FREE PARKING (because honestly nowhere lets you just park for free in Auckland!) comfy bed, with clean sheets and enough space to pull your suit case/backpack out and hang a few items of washing, and your on a wicked budget? Then this is apsalutly perfect!

The location to the central city and motorway on-ramps is good.

Liked: The room was clean and the decor was okay. I liked very much that parking was available.
Disliked: Their was not sugar or milk in the room - and this was disappointing.

Disliked: Rooms are pretty yuck. Bathroom faces the carpark so you can see pretty clearly (the glass is cloudy so its not a total peep show). We hung a blanket over the shower for privacy. There were items we found in the bathroom on check in that made us gag and the Cutlery was dirty. You have to pay for wifi.
