Dodgy, but doable for a...

Liked: The bed was large and it was nice to have a fridge. The fence around the motel made us feel a bit more at ease..
Disliked: That was rough, not gonna lie. The area was dodgy and multiple uber drivers advised us to not leave the motel at night, even if it was for a minute. We found 2 cockroaches as soon as we entered our room which was a bit nasty. There was mold on the ceilings, floor and shower. The shower floor felt slimey too. Not the best motel 6 we have been to.

Liked: Room was on ground floor so parked at the door and didn't worry about who I might encounter on the stairs. The room had some of the basic facilities required and was clean, cheap, served its purpose, I arrived, I slept, I showered, I left. Though the place felt intimidating on arrival and my 18 year old was reluctant to leave us "in that place", infact there was no noise or disruption during the night, no one hanging about. The main room looked like a fair attempt had been made at modernising it cheaply, was not too bad
Disliked: the building had a metal security fence outside, not clear in pics, felt very threatening, could only enter through security gate. the staff were appalling, miserable, disinterested, did the bare minimum. security van in car park! microwave didn't work (didn't report as was only there 1 night and didn't want to drag my daughter round to the window). Room smelt badly (maybe dank smell, couldnt identify what it was but not smoke, weed, etc but not fresh). bath was rusty chipped stained, badly filled and overpainted bald patches on walls. very dark room, filthy windows, when you turn over the metal bed base clanged, loo seat wrong size and swerved sideways, cistern was wonky on wall. Only 2 plastic beakers in room

Liked: This hotel is better than what the previous reviews would suggest. The room was nice and appears to be newly renovated. The neighborhood was fine, not great but not bad (it's Memphis).
