Liked: Nothing. They are trying to scam people out of $60.00 cash.
Disliked: Everything. By far the WORST experience dealing with a front desk. We booked in January 2025 for a stay on June 5, 2025. We had booked a 2 queen bed, downstairs. When we got there, the older lady told me they dont have that room available, even though when I booked the room I requested, and was emailed a confirmation that they could accommodate our request. It's "first come, first serve", she said. We drove over 500 miles from Phoenix to Visalia, and this how we're greeted? Then, they insisted on a $60.00 cash "deposit". When I told them to put it on a hold on my credit card, they INSISTED it had to be cash...only!Since I did not have cash on me, they said to go find a place to get the cash. At that point, I didn't feel right about staying there, and asked them to cancel my reservation. The older lady said that it was past the cancellation date, and she was not going to refund me the cost. I mentioned that I was going to call Booking.com, whom we booked thru, and she said she was going to tell them we were a no show. Booking.com has tried to contact the property several times, to ask to refund our money back, and they have not replied back. We have done some more research on this property, and it sounds like the $60.00 cash is a scam that they are calling a cleaning fee/deposit. Please do your research on this property. I would advise you NOT to book a room at this place.

Liked: I was hesitant to book a room in this hotel because of some bad reviews mentioning the presence of cockroaches, for instance, or the fact that the staff kept their cash deposit. I still took the chance and booked a room at the Motel 6 in Visalia because there were excellent reviews and the rate was more affordable than other hotels in the area. Also, I booked this hotel because of its location. My room was spotless, cleaned and made everyday, and the staff was extremely friendly and professional. Every interaction I had with the staff during my stay was very pleasant. The deposit was promptly returned to me after the cleaning person checked the room. I couldn't have been happier with my stay in Visalia.
