Liked: While waiting for my husband to arrive, one of three things was clearly going on two rooms down: 1. A serious case of domestic violence, 2. A sex worker being beaten by her handler, or 3. Someone having the most ravenous and loud sex I’ve ever heard in my life. When my husband came to meet me, he stopped in the lobby restroom only to have to use a bathroom with bloody rags all over the place. How is this even remotely hygienic ? And if this is in the front of the building how is not getting serviced frequently enough that this went unseen? Unless, of course, it’s because everyone is smoking in the elevator. My husband came upstairs only to notice the front desk clerk coming out of one of the rooms and smelling strongly of weed. Which, if they want to smoke whatever, but why not go out back like normal people? Who just assumes that all your patrons, if any, want to smell refer all night? I personally work in substance abuse treatment and can’t walk around smelling like that. Once my husband arrived, we locked the latch and thank God we did. In the middle of our own marital acts, here comes someone trying to open the door. Realizing it was locked, she knocks. She wanted to know if we needed towels. Well, I needed the towels hours before that and bought our own so we said no. This think that someone may have checked and restocked them while we were out but that would be an erroneous assumption. We left to see friends and took every last thing with us and loaded it back into the car because the place felt extremely unsafe and we didn’t want to leave any valuables, or even a new towel, from the dollar store behind. While watching tv in an attempt to relax before bed, I look up to notice wires dangling from a cut out in the wall. Sure, there were wire caps but there’s no sense in an almost $3.7B company having any property in use looking like this! But they did have four items available in the vending machine !
Disliked: I stayed at the Shreveport location in room #204 last night. Let me just say that this was the most god-awful room I’ve ever stayed in. I literally don’t know how this hotel is even open for operation.I walked in with my dog and after getting my room key was told to wait because the elevator is broken. (I was told, “It only goes down” which makes no sense because I then took it up to the 2nd floor). It’s access it denied via duct tape over the outside button, on the first floor. Once you enter the elevator it became clear that it’s sole purpose was to serve as a hot box because it smelled like weed stronger than I’ve ever smelled before. My dog and I made it upstairs passing rows of open doors to unused rooms. The entire hallway smelled of freshly smoked weed. We found our open room. I got in and could not walk barefoot on the floor because it was disgusting. I sat our stuff down on the table that didn’t have shelves because the shelf was laying in the bottom of the table cubby. This was the same situation for the shelves of the tv console.I went to the bed only to sit on a bedspread with holes snd that was thinner than a summertime curtain. I pulled back the blanket, if you want to call it that, only to find sheets that were stained and the mattress itself smelled like weed. There was hair on the sheets and I had to shake them off. I attempted to brush my teeth but the sink wouldn’t drain. Don’t worry, my husband fixed it. I went to use the bathroom and the toilet was stopped up. Don’t worry, my husband fixed that too. Then I showered. I went to get out and only had ONE HAND TOWEL. How the hell do you have a room stocked with one hand towel when you knew I was coming because I reserved online ?! Well, I made do. My husband stopped and got us towels on his way in because by this point my logic said “if the towels are anything like the bedding I am not putting that on my body”. The shower handle was broken in half and the shower curtain was disgusting.
