Motel 6-Salinas CA - North Monterey Area

I showed up to signs in the glass doors saying "CASH ONLY". I happened to be staying for 2 nights. Nowhere in my reservation did it say it was going to be cash only. Luckily, I had dropped by the bank earlier and actually had the cash to cover. There was no shampoo or conditioner. There was old toothpaste in the sink, because it WASN'T CLEANED PROPERLY. The bed covers had CIGARETTE BURNS in them. The batteries in the remote were dead, and when we wrote to ask for them to be replaced, it was IGNORED. I asked if there was a hot tub on the premises, and I was snickered at and rudely told "Yeah, a bathtub". A simple no would have sufficed. Never again...

Liked: Friendly staff. Clean rooms and affordable.
Disliked: The location was kind of a bit sketchy but other than that the freeway is around the corner.

Liked: Location was good. Easy to get to and outside appearances were nice. They allow dogs and that’s why we chose this place.
Disliked: Absolutely ZERO amenities. In fairness, they did send a email 24 hours prior to arrival that they don’t offer anything extra. The room bathrooms were very old and warn, enough that it made me question the cleanliness. Bed were just ok.

Disliked: What I didn't like was that who ever cleaned the room didn't do a good job there was dry boogers all over the walls especially in the restroom. It's like the person who last stayed there just sat there flicking boogers all over the room
