Liked: Fairly quiet, clean, affordably motel for business travelers, and pet-friendly.
Disliked: I specified when reserving a room that I wanted a ground floor room. My old dog can't really do stairs any more. They stuck us upstairs.It was a really hot desert day, and we had to turn on the AC and wait a long time before the room cooled off.The ice machine was broken.No shower curtain.

Exceptional

Liked: It was late, the place was pretty crowded. I needed a ground floor for my old dog who travels with me. There weren't any more single queen ground floor rooms, so the manager gave me a free upgrade to a larger room. I was happy and my dog was happy. I stay there often for work. Ridgecrest Motel 6 is great.

Ghetto motel, ghetto employees, and...

Liked: The room was clean.
Disliked: The manager/owner and housekeeping staff. Also, very questionable individuals loitering in and around motel. There were several ladies who had their babies in strollers talking and laughing and carrying on conversation in the room where housekeeping/ employees keep cleaning supplies and wash the rooms towels and sheets. This employee-only room just also happens to be in the hallway right across from where my room was located. This would be fine if during working hours but not at 10:30/45 at night when I am trying to sleep. I called the front desk to complain but had no answer. I then walked to the front desk, and the owner was not there as well. I walked back to my room, and there were the two housekeeping ladies ( which are out of their maid uniforms and in their regular clothes. I believe they all live on the Motel site in different rooms ) and there are now 2 other ladies that joined the little " party" . They all saw me walk back into my room but did nothing to keep the noise down.I packed my bag up and took my bag and my dog out to my truck to get it and my dog ready to travel. I walked back to my room to grab the last few items I couldn't grab on my first trip to my truck. When I came out of my room for the last time, I looked at the women, made eye contact with several of them, and just shook my head and said that this is unacceptable at this time of night when people are trying to sleep. I then walked back to the front office one last time to talk to the owner. Again, he was not there. There was a phone number on the door , so I called it. No answer. At that point, I went back to my truck got in and started to drive away when the owner called me back on my phone. I advised him of the situation and that it was unacceptable for his employees to be carrying on like that in the hallway at that time of night. He said he was in front of my room and that there were no employees in the hallway.

Liked: Spent there 2 minutes. Dirty, smelly, definitely not cleaned room. Stay away.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Practical if your passing through close to amenities easy access parking What looked like a long staying resident neighbour loud television/music late to early hours (room 117) Could have been cleaner but it’s a budget stay I didn’t expect much. But that said could definitely improve standards.
