15 minute drive to the venue; very friendly and helpful ladies at the front desk - one even took the time to write out directions for me! Room was just basic; clean; no bells and whistles, which we don't care about anyway. We would definitely stay here again!

Disliked: I communicated twice with the day clerk about my late arrival time. The room was sold right out from under me and no replacement. Had to go next door to EconoLodge and pay 20 more after driving 8 hours.

Liked: Getting out alive the next morning
Disliked: Checked in the room at 3:30 with my daughter. Checked the room out and found the toilet was backed up filled with paper and cigarette butts(non smoking room). Went to front office to ask it to be fixed several times over a 8 hour period. The person in the front office that had already been rude with me about it finally came to the roo. At 11pm to fix it, plus the stairs to go up to the room was in dangerous condition with chunks of concrete missing.

Liked: The style of the room was modern and I very much liked that. Shower was a nice size. I liked the fact that the sink was outside of the bathroom leaving the ability for someone else to get ready even if someone else is using the shower or toilet. The room was a nice size especially for two people and a pet. I appreciate it that people were allowed in sectioned and limited groups into the pool to provide safety for the current pandemic. when we first pulled up we saw so many children and people in the pool that we thought it wasn't even going to be an option so we were very surprised very happily surprised to find out that they were giving people the option of having the pool to themselves for periods of time, that was pretty amazing!
Disliked: We could hear people arguing through the walls at night. We could hear kids running past and screaming and playing at the pool all day. the daytime kids wouldn't really have been a problem if we couldn't hear people screaming and arguing at night as well but together it left no time of quiet at all. There was a big palmetto bug in the room which the dog killed. Yuck. The parking lot was a bit challenging because of the giant chunks of rock from the various piles of gravel for construction. There is a fenced area at the very back of the property for dogs but most people would just let their dog off of the leash with no oversight so we really could only use it extremely briefly as soon as anyone else showed up with a dog we had to leave. But as long as no one else was there it was actually a surprisingly pleasant size to be able to play with a dog in and allow them to exercise. It could use signs though because we couldn't figure out where it was and kind of guessed that the fenced area in the back was the dog area- there was nothing actually saying that it was that I could see. In the heat it would have been much better to have been placed in the back near the dog park because that's a long way to walk a dog's paws over blazing hot concrete with 110 heat index! But not everyone knows that about dogs paws that they will burn on blacktop.I was frustrated by check in because it wasn't in the lobby instead it was through a room with an ice maker and through a tiny drawer and I couldn't hear the people through the drawer and everyone in that tiny room wasn't wearing masks except me. The employees may or may not have been wearing masks but it didn't really matter because they were in a completely separate room but everyone that needed anything just piled in so at one point I was standing there with eight other people in maybe a 10 by 10 room and no one had a mask on. Yikes.
