Motel 6-Norfolk VA

Checked in before a concert. When I returned, my door card did not work. I went back to the front desk 4 times for it to work. When my room door finally opened there was a strange "spill" in the entrance. Almost like if you struggled at the door someone will approach you from behind and you would lose your footing on the "spill". There were various deals openly happening in the parking lot and there was a huge roach trying to get into my room. I did not stay and left as soon as I was able to get my stuff. I also got charged for an extra night when I didn't even stay at all. The worst experience I've had.

Disliked: Shady activities.

15 minute drive to the venue; very friendly and helpful ladies at the front desk - one even took the time to write out directions for me! Room was just basic; clean; no bells and whistles, which we don't care about anyway. We would definitely stay here again!

Disliked: Floor was filthy!!! Lights didn't work, no microwave in room, alot of questionable activity and some strange man banging on my door looking for someone else. Also appeared my room door had been kicked in before

Disliked: The employees steal from inside your room when no one is in there . 2 new African American workers we haven’t seen before working there( me & my husband are African American as well) . We been there for a couple weeks no problem till we noticed these 2 new people walking to the employee closet but looking suspicious.. all I gotta say is all the money I spent here , they’ll never get another dime out of me. They stole some of my nail (professional) equipment . None of that was cheap & I thought I was safe to leave my belongings inside while I go drop my husband off at work (1 hour for the whole trip there & back). Didn’t noticed when I came back it was missing till I went to pick him up & I wanted to do my nails cause it’s my off day finally. I’m pulling everything out & finally connecting the drill & noticeably missing quite a bit of equipment that was in this zip lock bag because I needed to soak them in barbicide, then hot soapy water ( from doing my nails previously in a rush). Checked my car , me & my husband multiple times. Then when you ask to see their cameras they say you can’t you can call the police . Like what ??????? Yea never again & have never cause any problems here they’ve only given me problems. Another thing is I had to get a new I.D. , tell me why I present my VA card (military ID) & I get told not acceptable & it’s a contractor card
