Disgusting
Liked: Location
Disliked: It was the dirtiest property I have ever stayed at. It appeared it had not been cleaned in over a decade. Roaches. Horrendous odors. Disgusting. The owner’s flag for Motel 6 should be revoked. Shame on Motel 6 for not doing a site check and on this property.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Room was not what I paid for. When I informed staff she was rude and said no king rooms available. The room was missing many items such as pillowcases, trash basket in bathroom, tissue box, enough towels.

It was good enough for...
Liked: Pet friendly. $100 was fair for 1 night room in Newport. Got it on sale tho
Disliked: There was wicked stinky dog pee on the wall. It was a non-smoking room but reeked of cigarettes. Leaky bathtub faucet was annoying. Back door didn't recognize my key card. The entire place had an awful smell.

Bad
Disliked: The facilities are filthy. Crumbs left on the nightstand, so clearly it was not cleaned after the previous guests. There was a used bar of soap in the shower—again which leads me to believe it was not cleaned. The room was so musty it was almost unbearable. Horrible, disgusting experience.

See you next year!
Liked: This is the third year I've rented with Motel6 during the Jazz festival weekend. I'm happy that they have made the needed renovations and upgrades to their rooms. I also like the addition of a microwave in my room.
Disliked: I didn't like the AC/heating unit. It had an oder when I switched to heat, and it also looked like the filtering system was missing.

Room was canceled without my...

Disliked: I had a reservation at the Newport Rhode Island hotel on August 2nd. Just prior to arrival, I received an email form booking.com about services not being available due to a covid 19 outbreak. I tried calling the hotel several times without success. No one answered the phone. I therefore went to the hotel to inquire about the possibility of cancelling the reservation due to the concerns over the email. The front desk person was very rude and said they have nothing to do with that. She said that’s booking.com and that they will charge you not the hotel. She said I have to talk to them. I said okay then I will call booking.com and I be right back. I contacted booking.com and they indicated that charging is up to the hotel. I came back to the desk and informed the lady and she continued to say that the hotel has nothing to do with it. I said fine then I’ll check in then. The lady said she no longer has the room. I asked why. She said she canceled it and they no longer have the room. They sold it. I stated that I did not ask for it to be canceled. She continued to say that they don’t have the room. At this point I was getting no where with a very rude and untrained staff. I had no choice but to leave. I have two charges on my Amex. One for $319.64 and one for $25.00. Since I did not ask for the room to be canceled, I’m requesting a full refund for this untenable situation that I was put through.
