Liked: Checking out
Disliked: The beds were incredibly lumpy. The lady at the desk was excessively rude. I was in an accident on my way there from Michigan… she gave me a hard time about getting extra blankets to try and make it more comfortable. The front door didn’t shut. I didn’t at all feel safe between the door and the horrible area. The whole place was dirty. The toilet cover and tile in shower is cracked. The shower rod is falling off the wall. The molding on the floor to the tub is falling off. The lobby smells

Concerns

Liked: The location is easy to fine and the customers service was not too bad.
Disliked: The outside look is filthy and looks trashy; I suggest outside renovation and thorough cleaning of the floor. Please make the outlook a bit attractive for clients.

Liked: As always Sharuti was great at the front desk and kind. Really a great employee and the cleaning staff as well. Recommend for a quick stay of your in town for a few days.
Disliked: It’s not too close to retail for food but it’s okay for a quick place to stay. Maybe some refrigerators especially for those who need for medications etc.

Excellent stay

Liked: I booked this for a friend and her pet a few times already. The location although it could be considered remote for the area isn’t bad and easy to get to transportation if you have no car or just need to commute to NYC or even the local surrounding towns. The room is as expected and great value. Although I would like to have more things like a kitchenette (they don’t have them) but overall satisfaction. The lady who works there Sharutti is really very nice and she remembers us when we stay there. It’s hard to find good staff but she really is good at managing the front desk and meeting special requests if needed.
Disliked: Retail locations and restaurants are a bit further down route 18.

Good place to stay if...

Liked: We booked the room via BringFido as we were travelling with a dog and wanted easy in and out and a property that did not charge an extra pet fee. The hotel was clean though a little bare bones, with grassy areas to walk the dog. It was also within walking distance of an Asian restaurant for takeout dinner. It was in a suburban college town where Rutgers is located which seemed like a safe place to overnight.
Disliked: It is not easy to access the entrance to the property off the New Jersey Turnpike as it requires a quick right off the parkway, or you have to do an extended reroute to try to access the entrance again. A more prominent entrance with larger signage might have helped.
