Motel 6-Merced CA

We only were in room...

Liked: Water in shower was instantly hot and all 4 of us could shower with hot water.
Disliked: Maid service was non existent. Had clean towels on first day and on third day after complaining. No trash pick up, no clean cups, no clean towels, only 3 bath towels and bath mat and two wash clothes for 4 people. Office worker was only on duty occasionally,. Pictures of site on line were not of this motel. Advertised as having pool, not at this site. Maybe at other Merced location, but could not say. Roaches in room, we killed at least 6. Small repairs needed to room which sign on entrance advertised as newly renovated. Shelf under tv broken, bathroom door missing paint, curtains off hangers which we replaced. Price we ended up paying was about $175 more than I believe I booked at, perhaps booking does not include local taxes etc.

Liked: There was absolutely nothing to like about this place at all. All around it was the worse place ever. The smoke alarm was just hanging, Dogs running around everywhere as if it was a dog motel, partying and doors slamming all night. It was cheap but now I see why, it's the worse.
Disliked: People doing drugs everywhere there, the workers were rude, lazy and need a lesson in customer service. We asked for towels abd they had none. What you get is what you get. There were 5 of us and only 3 towels. No microwave but when we went to the office to use theirs the girl ignored us with the door locked and continued to watch television. There were so many dogs running around, a homeless encampment in the back, people doing drugs, it was like party and drug central. We stayed here years ago and never again. Our last experience was a good one but this took the cake for worse experiences ever. Keep your money and go to a better motel. My kids did not feel safe at all and would not recommend it to anyone. Half the outlets and lights didn't work, there were rips in the sheets and a pink stain on 1 of them. The sink showered the whole area with water, the fan in the bathroom didn't work. Just please stay away and save your money.

Liked: The room looked clean, but was infested with cockroaches. Night time rent a cop was a thief and stole money off my credit card he was the rudest, disrespectful RENT A COP! I COM FROM A FAMILT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT AND EDUCATORS AN. SO, obviously I am not being bias, he needs to be ashamed of himself.!
Disliked: The Health and Safety Code violations should be addressed by closing down and the staff evaluated and retrained!
