Terrible front desk check-in

Disliked: Issue was I booked my one night stay through bookings.com and drove 7 hours from AZ to get to motel. Right when I checked in the attendant stated, "your room was cancelled because we don't have quad-rooms". ????? All I wanted, like I had a month before, ws a room with two queen beds, which you have. She said she didn't know and that they were sold out! I asked why didn't anyone call me at all, from Bookings.co or Motel-6 to advise me my room was cancelled? How would I go out now, at 6pm, and find another hotel room for me and my family? She took about 15 minutes and called a manager and ended up giving me the room I originally wanted. Why all the drama if you had a room available for me!!!!!

It was a good value...

Liked: It was quiet. The lovely lady at the front desk gave us a room above the office. The smell of the Jasmine bushes lining the driveway was delightful!
Disliked: Rooms are small but I didn’t expect more considering the price in Goleta area.

Would stay here again

Liked: The room was clean and well maintained. The location felt safe. Definitely a good value for the money.
Disliked: The beds were hard and the pillows were flat.
