Motel 6-Goleta CA - Santa Barbara

It was comfortable / clean...

Liked: It was CLEAN and served is purpose for a visit to Santa Barbara
Disliked: SMALL / Outdated /no amenties in the room (except small soap)

Good location for a visit...

Liked: Good location for a visit to UCSB. Walking distance to restaurants. Clean but small room for 3 people.
Disliked: Motel 6 used to be cheap. Not so much any more. Still, it was our cheapest option in Goleta.

Pleasant, but with concerns, although...

Liked: The receptionist was very accommodating and helpful. The room was larger than expected. The bed linen looked nice and was comfortable.
Disliked: Although floors were vacuumed, they did not seemed mopped. My feet got very dirty when I took my shoes off. I also saw a small cockroach on the phone in my room. Behind the bed at the headboard board did not seems as clean as it could be. There was a lot of handicapped parking & in front of my room. I could not find a space close and had to leave at 4:00 am to catch a plane & felt uncomfortable going outside at that time going to my car.

Disliked: A/C not working well. Noisy.

Worst Stay Ever

Liked: The room with two beds was ridiculously small for a family of 4. There were flies in the room that had to be smashed on the floor and walls. The AC was loud throughout the night. Noisy guests were outside of my room until 3 am, despite calls to the front desk. I would’ve tried to find another spot to stay at but we arrived late and decided to tough it out until morning. There was also a transient trying to open doors. 0/10 would not recommend.

Liked: Horrible customer service, keys to the rooms did not work

Liked: It was a clean nice Motel 6 room. I came late and left early as planned no problems
Disliked: I was very windy. Either the wind or the noise from the freeway made my dog very nervous and she wanted to go out for a walk. As soon as I turned on one light and the TV. We both fell asleep
