Great location clean and affordable...

Liked: The property was very clean and they had a nice grassy area for my dogs . The pool was nice . Close to the freeway great location next to the downtown part of the town .
Disliked: Nothing .

Weird peopl

Liked: Easy access to the freeway and restaurants near by and walking distance.
Disliked: There are weird people just staring. I couldn’t sleep confortable because I didn’t feel safe with that people sitting in the grass area and on the second floor sitting in chairs. And I’m not being judgmental but there are some weird people in this area. I absolutely do not recommend it for families.

Disliked: My husband our dog and I booked a room for 5 nights at Motel 6 in Atascadero CA through Booking.com. We arrived around 8:00 pm on 07/06/2025. Upon entering the room it smelled like marijuana and cigarettes. The room was absolutely disgusting! In the bathroom there was poop splatters on the wall by the toilet and also on the toilet paper holder. In the shower there was hair and pubic hair. The floor had some kind of black sticky substance stuck to it and just flat out filthy. We had our dog with us and I could not take the chance of my dog licking anything off of the floor. Who knows what the prior guests dropped on the floor because the black sticky stuff on the floor looked and smelled like marijuana resin. My husband works 12 hours days back to back all he wanted to do was go to bed. So I took 2 of the hand towels and some dish soap and scrubbed the floor my self. We were told that maid service is every 3 days when the maid didn't come and service our room I went to the office with the dirty towels and asked for clean ones. The lady behind the counter I think her name is Kim was rude and disrespectful she told me it hadn't been 3 days and proceeded to raise her voice at me and tell me that I ruined her white towels . I told her that the floor was really dirty and I didn't want my dog licking anything off of it. She said she couldn't believe that I ruined her towels and why would I do that, that I should of come down and got some rags instead of using the towels. I asked her why was the floor so dirty and why was it not cleaned. She said that her maids deep clean the rooms every time they clean them. Obviously she is lying. I took pictures of everything. We are on our last night here and we still never got our room cleaned and no clean towels. The WiFi didn't work. We did not complain to her because we had witnessed her treatment of other guests.

Liked: Because they didn't have a downstair room, and I shouldn't be using stairs but I had to, Amy who was working the front desk, carried my bags up and even brought me coffee ☕ in the morning. The next morning person carried my bags down. Very hospitable .

Exceptional

Liked: Very Clean! Idk why they have low ratings in cleaning etc. Their towels and sheets are crisp white and plush. They offer room service, always ready provide tissue and other necessites. Their staff members are very friendly and accommodating. They have all kinds of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and condiments which was my favorite. It's close to the freeway, grocery store is less than a mile away. They offer late check-out upon request and early check-in based on availability.
