Moose Inn

Overall a lovely place to...

Liked: Our second time staying at Moose in and so far it is our favorite. Very easy check in, and check out is always a breeze by dropping the key for our room into the drop box. We appreciate the real door keys so that we don’t have to worry about some hotel card failing and trying to get with a staff member to replace it. It’s always quiet around the hotel. The staff are always considerate and let us know which cabin has the most road noise, but even being in one next to the road we never heard any disturbing noises.
Disliked: The ONLY thing I want to mention in here, and it’s really not much of a complaint. The walk in showers are fantastic, but the slope to the drain is a bit shallow towards the entrance of the shower. As my husband and I took our showers, we found a good bit of water was trying to escape and flow into the rest of the bathroom area. We tried to adjust where we stood and to point the shower head as deep into the back corner as possible, but it didn’t seem to help. So we rolled up one of the smaller towels, and spreading it across the shower entrance seemed to help a lot. Maybe if the slope to the drain was made a bit more intense? Including some small tile to create a ledge to hold the water in? The fact certainly didn’t make us love the inn any less, we were just worried about any water getting loose and causing damage to the bathroom flooring.

Liked: Second time staying and will continue to stay each year as we visit silverwood! Perfect location, cute town. Friendly staff! As we see them they ask if we need anything and to call/text if you do. Very accommodating as we arrived a little early.

Liked: The property was really cute and perfect for a quick stop. It is located in a nice little town with restaurants nearby. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. Check in process very easy

Peaceful, convenient to Silverwood &...

Liked: This area is pretty slim on hotels and motels so there isn't a great deal of selection but Moose Inn was a good find. The rooms are one half of a cottage/ cabin and of good size. There is a quasi kitchenette with sink, microwave, fridge and coffeemaker but no cuterly or dishes. The king bed was very comfy, linens were nice. Check in is by key in a lock-box, I did not see any staff besides cleaning crew. Communication with management was easy through their guest portal or texting, response was quick. Note: There is no ice machine but there is a nice grocery store within close walking distance as well as a convenience store, gas and liquor store. Spirit Lake is a small town on Spirit Lake with camping and boating with all the things you need for a summer getaway.
Disliked: A couple of chairs outside the cottage door would have been nice, otherwise, no complaints.

Disliked: $50 pet deposit was excessive.

Liked: Such a cute little hotel, staff was super friendly. We stayed there so we could go to silverwood amusement park so we didn't spend much time in the room. But it was the perfect place to crash at the end of the day. Super close to the theme park, and in the cutest little town!
