Almost excellent

Liked: Lovely room. Spacious and clean. Beautiful bathroom. The hotel was smart, the food was very good and there is a wonderful terrace. Some of the staff gave really good service - particularly in the restaurants. Overall excellent value for money.
Disliked: Some of the staff seemed indifferent. Poor service when trying to book spa treatments before the stay. Dinner was included in our overall price, but when ordering we were told that side dishes (e.g. vegetables) were excluded! The 'glasses' of prosecco served barely filled half a glass. These last two things made it feel like we were being nickelled and dimed which slightly took the edge of our relaxing spa weekend. As the hotel is on a golf course there are no grounds to speak of where you can walk around.

Disliked: Room was just okay. However between reception and room there were seating areas with tables. A number of tables had been used and used glasses were left from when we arrived until late in the evening. Only cleared by the following morning

Very picturesque place, really nice...

Liked: The staff were very good. The building was nice. The surroundings were also beautiful. Bathroom within room was spacious and well decorated.
Disliked: Room was small, dated with several issues. Cobwebs in several obvious places, needed a good clean. Discoloured paint on the ceiling - needing painting. Plug sockets near bed coming off the wall. Shower fixture broken so unable to stand under shower head. Room itself was smaller that expected. A standard place like Travelodge or Holiday Inn would provide a much more spacious room. Also no thermostat for heating - needed to control temp by manually turning radiator up and down. Whilst workable, not what I'd expect for such a hotel.
