Imperfect, but we'll still keep...

Liked: The location is unbeatable, and that is why we stay here. We can walk to our absolutely favorite beach, and also walk to restaurants and stores. The bed was comfortable and huge. The room was very large. Nice to have a balcony. Good on-site parking for hotel guests only.
Disliked: The communication between the front desk and maid service is unreliable. We have stayed here many times. We don't need our room cleaned every day when we stay here for a week, but when we ask for our sheets to be changed mid-week, it doesn't always get done. And when we asked for basic service two days during our last stay, it happened two consecutive days in the middle of our stay, not spread out as we requested. This is definitely a 3 star hotel or slightly less, and we usually stay in 4 or 5 star hotels, but we can't find any 4s or 5s near Moonlight Beach, so we keep returning. The price is high in high season for what you get, but it's all about location.

Liked: I love this place I found it 10 years ago and have gone back as often as I can. It’s affordable, proximity to the beach and everything else in Encinitas is perfect! And it’s clean and comfortable. I love its simplicity.
