This is the only choice...

Liked: It was incredible to be right on the beach. Plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the views. Plus whale watching!! The complimentary s’mores and wine wall were so special. The lobby space was warm and inviting, the picture windows were wonderful.The pool and gym were great.
Disliked: Food and beverage prices were a bit high but expected for Monterey.

Liked: Location access to the beach. Room was decent. Pool was nice. Fire puts were useful.
Disliked: Price and added $100 of fees. $51 a day to park is extreme. And the free wine and stores are not so free with $50 in other fees that aren't taxes. That's extreme. The outside of the facility is peeling paint and looks shabby. The dripping water outside our door was also not so nice for walking about.

Disliked: Checking in did take a little bit of time, but that was expected

Everything was great except for...

Liked: I loved that the hotel is right on the beach. The rooms were comfortable, the restaurant was beautiful, and food delicious.
Disliked: I didn’t like that I had booked a king room with an ocean view, and was given a garden view room, and still had to pay the ocean view price. Very disappointed.
