Monte Carlo Inns - Vaughan Suites

It was a nice place to use as a hub to go out and visit Toronto. Nothing special to draw you to that particular place.

Liked: The mattress was very comfortable. Shower water pressure was fantastic!
Disliked: No coffee available outside the restaurant and you couldn’t go back in without a card. Food choices below average. Decor outdated (not a big deal).

Liked: The staff! And Walmart is close by for snacks and food.
Disliked: The 8$ breakfast was horrible. I should just have eaten the unripe bananas and pastries.

Liked: Staff was very pleasant and helpful
Disliked: The hot and cold water in our room's bathroom was really annoying and challenging to deal with. The cold water was scorching hot and had to leave it open and wait probably 20-30 minutes until it stabilized. We tried two adjacent rooms on the upper floors with same results. The available Maintenance staff was baffled by thia situation and was unable to fix it during our stay.

Liked: Room was cleaned. We were able to check in early at no extra cost.
Disliked: There is no kids menu at the restaurant. We waited for our room to be ready at the restaurant and they were unable to accommodate for a kids menu. They could have easily cut a lasagna in two and charge us half the price. Parking is too narrow, another customer opened their door and marked our car.

Liked: I loved the location. Breakfast was great. Lots of choice. I liked to room, very clean, everything we needed. Every employee we met for service or just passing by met us with a smile.
Disliked: We had a decent sleep. The mattress was not exactly my ultimate comfort but pillows and bedding was lovely.

Liked: The bed was really comfortable and the price was reasonable. It also was close to transit station to get to downtown Toronto.
Disliked: The breakfast was underwhelming. We paid $8 to upgrade to an egg and bacon breakfast and it was not great. The continental breakfast was not gluten / dairy free friendly unfortunately so we opted for the breakfast and were disappointed.

Disliked: The FRONT DESK staff were not friendly at all, they made me feel like I shouldn't be there. They also never looked up anytime others or myself walked through. If you don't like to be bothered when working the customer service industry isn't for you. The free breakfast had NOTHING there. I did read that in previous reviews as well. AGAIN the staff member acted like I was a bother handing her my voucher. THE WORST HOTEL to visit if you're going with family. The CLEANING staff were very friendly. The pullout couch needs to be bigger and more lighting is needed.
