Monte Carlo Inn Barrie

This hotel has terrible service. Our sheets were stained and dirty and all the management offered us was a bottle of terrible wine. This is unacceptable. I have emailed the assistant manager and he has done absolutely nothing about our complaint. I do not recommend this hotel.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Dirty sheets with stains and no follow up or compensation.

Liked: Clean and renovated
Disliked: The elevator was not working so we had to go to the 4th by stairs. Also, our room was so noisy at night due to the highway.

Poor

Disliked: Elevator out of order, gym equipment out of order, shower in pool out of order. Room had a funky smell to it. Jazzuci tub had brown water run out before clear water came. Bed was not really clean. Overall not satisfied.

A disappointing stay in Barrie

Liked: Room was ok, as described the hotel has been renovated recently. There is plenty of parking in case you are traveling by car.
Disliked: The elevator was not working during our 3-day stay, which means we had to use the stairs to reach the 4th floor. We saw some older people with mobility issues complaining about it and nothing was done in order to get it fixed. Even though an included breakfast was announced here on Booking, it was basically some bread slices and pastries with a cup of coffee. Despite the renovation, for some reason there is a very strong cigarette smell on the corridors leading to the rooms, which gave my wife a headache everytime she had go through it (quite ironic given that there is a "Non-smoking" sign on the main entrance).
