Lena, Ottawa, visiting Burl's Creek Event Grounds

This hotel has terrible service. Our sheets were stained and dirty and all the management offered us was a bottle of terrible wine. This is unacceptable. I have emailed the assistant manager and he has done absolutely nothing about our complaint. I do not recommend this hotel.

Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Dirty sheets with stains and no follow up or compensation.

the hotel met the expectations...

Liked: The hotel has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. The bed was truly amazing. We also enjoyed the bubble bath so much.
Disliked: The reception desk wasn't what I expected. They weren't at all friendly at check-in or check-out (it felt like they were doing us a favor and not providing a paid service). The bed was poorly made. In particular, one of the curtains in the room we used didn't reach the bottom, so light filtered in at night (this is more of a personal issue). The hotel doesn't have double-paned windows, so road noise is constantly present. I recommend using earplugs.
