The Best Place to Stay...

Liked: This charming old mansion is a great place to stay in Saginaw. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable. The grounds are special with a great view of the river. Breakfast in the morning was also very good. Highly recommend.
Disliked: One of their air conditioning units went bad the night we were there, and the temperature outside was in the mid 90s. When we asked, they gave us a new room where everything was working fine.

Clean, comfortable but not a...

Liked: We stayed there many times years ago, with pleasant memories. Unfortunately, it has fallen on hard times. No longer the service, restaurant or attention to details. The front desk was empty at check in. Took multiple calls to reach attendant. Then asked to wait 5 minutes, which wasn’t a big deal. He apologized, stated problem with his phone. Limited information regarding inn, rooms that were common area, pointed to a brochure that explained amenities in every room. In an area that lacked restaurants. No information on where one might grab a bite to eat. Breakfast was delicious.

Historic Ambiance

Liked: This place was exceptional with its ambiance and historical value. I felt like I was transported back in time with the quaintness of the rooms and the sitting rooms open to everyone. I loved walking around the hallways looking at the plant posters and the books on tables. Very educational and relaxing.
Disliked: We only spent two nights and I wish it could have been longer. It was very cozy staying here and exploring Saginaw.

Liked: The gardens were wonderful as was sitting in the patio watching the sun go down
Disliked: Nothing. All was great

This is a Decent stay...

Liked: It was very charming and historic. It was also pretty quiet and mostly comfortable.
Disliked: The Norman Little room was a bit cramped and smaller than expected, but that was to be expected for the price we paid. The sink was difficult to use with the shelf right above it, and on a slant, so that little could stored without falling off. One could also see that the room still needs some work and a ceiling fan would have been most helpful.

Disliked: Breakfast was fine, but I'm sure there is a way to improve it when the warm is not available to make it 10!
