A great value.

Liked: Met expectations as a bed & breakfast well. An actual home from the late 1920's that qualifies as a mansion., just slightly the worse for wear, but still very elegant. Our room was large and comfortable, with a clean modern bathroom and its own sitting room. A lot of luxury for a b&b. The hot breakfast presented in a large dining room was good. The staff was friendly and informative; yet the price was extremely reasonable. Close to downtown Saginaw, which is making a significant comeback. This is a great alternative to cookie cutter chain motels, and not far off I-75 and 675. M-13 goes right by it and is main St. Saginaw.

Liked: I was not expecting a hot breakfast, and it was very good. Staff were wonderful.

A fun step back in...

Liked: The property was beautiful! It’s old and it has some things that needed attention like chipped tile and cracked paint. It was older, but it was very, very clean which offset anything old about it. I felt like it was kept in as good as shape as it could be without putting a lot more money into it. It’s a beautiful place with old bones. The library had some hidden doors that were fun. We were in the twin beds room and our bathroom was out in the hall outside of our room, but we didn’t mind that and I thought the bathroom was really charming. The staff was very nice and the breakfast was nice. Also, we got there early and the proprietor let us look in all the rooms that the doors were open before the other guests came and it was a lot of fun to see all the different beautiful rooms in this place.
Disliked: But I didn’t like about the property was that the twin beds were very very squeaky It was almost laughable how squeaky they were. The linens were nice. The towels were nice, but the beds were squeaky. Also, we didn’t mind the small charming room, but I can see how some people would not like a room that small.
