A Night at the Montague

Liked: The building and grounds are beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room had a notebook with notes from past guests that was very interesting to read through. There was even a standing fan in the closet which was fantastic!

Beautiful venue, but needs temperature...

Liked: Beautiful venue. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Not able to control the temperature in the room. Initially so cold we couldn't undress; we woke up at 4 a.m. and it was unbearably hot in our room. Had to shut vents and open the door to the hallway to cool the room!The room was so small we could barely walk around the bed.We also had to program the television.

Quaint and eclectic mansion-turned-inn

Liked: We don't have much to say that's different from other reviews: it's clean, pretty, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Feels like a very posh experience but for a bargain.
Disliked: There is no elevator, and guest rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors.

A Romantic Getaway

Liked: It is some sort of historical mansion, very romantic. There is a main building and a smaller house. It's different than other hotels, sort of unique. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is large. Parking is free. The breakfast is quite good, that day having a hot and continental breakfast. It was a nice touch that there were two small chocolates left in the room with water.There is a lake outside. The location has a lot of potential.
Disliked: I booked and arrived in the evening, but there was nobody at the reception. I had to call two times, before somebody came. The heating control is outside the room in a common area. I turned up the heating, but then somebody turned it down. I had to turn it up again. That's kind of inconvenient, that you don't have your own thermostat in the room.
