Liked: My room was very comfortable and a lovely bathroom. I enjoyed the rooftop terrace and the restaurant Marlin’s .

A big hotel underneath someone...

Liked: Shower with a steam setting was exceptional. The breakfast was good although a full height chair would have been nice.
Disliked: Very annoying check in that involved needing a passport despite me traveling only from Nottingham, then jabbing away at an iPad myself. Not premium feeling check in. Tedious and impersonal. Then to the roof bar while the sun was still out, only to be slightly annoyed by that too. It's separate to the hotel so you can't charge drinks to the room and you can't go to the bar and order, it's all table service and there's only one type of beer available. First world problems I know, but at £300 plus a night the bar needs to be high. Back to the roof bar for breakfast only to find the tables and chairs are not dining height, the tables are taller than coffee table height, but shorter than a table and the chairs are a bit taller than school chairs - its just weird. So no restaurant, no lobby, just the roof top bar, the whole experience was very impersonal, hardly engaged with the hotel at all.

Cool hotel in good location,...

Liked: Rooms were lovely and funky decor. Receptionist was welcoming. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: Pool was dirty and staff were rude about you wearing footwear even though slippers are not provided in the room. The rooftop bar closed at 9pm and they brought the bill at 830, we felt rushed. The lavazza machine in the rook was broken and a new one was not brought up.

Beautiful hotel in a great...

Liked: Pool, rooms, steam function in the shower. All of it. We stayed at the Mondrian (previous ownership) and loved the he hotel, we look forward to the virgin experience when fully open. Richard Branson was on site and went out of his way to say hello to us with our baby. He was lovely and asked how everything was.
Disliked: Restaurants weren’t open during our stay, early check in wasn’t available but staff were very helpful.
