The romantic Monastery Hotel in the peaceful garden of the Strahov Monastery offers superb views of Prague Castle Lesser Town the Old Town and the Vltava river. Prague Castle is just a few steps away and all the other historic sights of the Golden City are easily accessible on foot as well or by public transport. The modern interior design uniquely complements the ancient style of this building. All rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV free high-speed internet and tea and coffee making facilities. An internet point and a wireless internet zone is available in the lobby free of charge. Drinks can be purchased at the reception which can also arrange sightseeing tours and excursions. Due to the historic monument protection there is no elevator in the building. All rooms are accessible only by stairs. The reception is only open from 07:00 to 19:00. When booking 9 or more people or 4 or more rooms for the same date through one or more bookings the hotel may apply different payment and cancelation policies. Please note that the same credit/debit card that was used for the prepayment of your booking needs to be presented upon arrival. We enjoyed it!

Liked: Lovely staff, delicious breakfast each morning, with patio seating as optional. Very good location once we figured out the trolly routes and catching the trolley was just a few minutes away. Would stay there again.
Disliked: No air conditioning but the temps were moderate. An open window and a desk fan kept the room comfortable. And it was a little hard to find the first night.

Quiet hotel on monastery grounds,...

Liked: Quiet hotel on the grounds of beautiful Strahov Monastery.
Disliked: Air conditioning was not effective in sleeping loft, which smelled faintly of stale cigarettes.

best view in Prague (from...

Liked: most beaitofi; location, especially the view from top left windows to the PPrague from high hill. This is the main reason we rented this hotel, also because best of Prague magiv veiw from Strachov monastyr and before ea7am (even 6).
Disliked: Very difficult to comminite with stuff. They are "correct" and "polite", but they refuse to do anything extra. Maybe this is their general policy? What a pity - other places are much more welcoming.

Couldn’t have asked for a...

Liked: We loved the location and the serene nature of the hotel. The deluxe room was very comfortableFor table and large enough to feel luxurious. The extra touch of the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch. The room had a mini fridge and had a machine for coffee or tea. Bed was comfortable. Windows opened and our room had amazing views of the city below. Staff were amazing especially Gabriella. She also spoke English which was an added bonus. . Loved sitting in the garden each morning with our coffee. Breakfast was very tasty and had an assortment of hot and cold items. We can’t say enough about the hotel and the beautiful location.
