Liked: To-go breakfast was nice, all things considered.
Disliked: The smoke detector went off for no reason during evening and late night.We're a family of 4, stayed 2 nights and were only provided one small soap, one small shampoo and conditioner. Had to ask for 2 extra towels since the room only had 2. One would think that one reason you have to indicate how many people are staying (during the booking process) is precisely to furnish the room accordingly. It was underwhelming. Would not return.

Wife got minor burn due...

Disliked: Put us upstairs would of preferred room downstairs

My new go-to stay for...

Liked: Great location, shares a lot/parking with a gas station which is convenient imo, quiet (minus the person above our room), very spacious, clean room, comfy bed, and very helpful and friendly staff
Disliked: There was some construction (lobby renovation) and a very noisy upstairs guest, but these were minor compared to the positives

Basic hotel without some amenities...

Liked: Hotel rooms were refurbished and clean. Staff were approachable.
Disliked: The hotel office was non-existent as it was being renovated. However, it seemed like this was a permanent situation with the office being run as a convenience store, and an adjacent room serving as the check in/storage/breakfast service area. There is also a gas station as part of the premises. Also there wasn't a real breakfast as advertised. Only the option of making coffee in the check in area with a coffee maker such as in the rooms. And the offer of bananas which were past their prime so we passed. There's no elevator if you have an upstairs room which is very difficult for some as it was for me (I had injured my knee and was limping/could not put weight on it).

Liked: Good location, close to Monterey, near a gas station.
Disliked: Office was under construction so the “office” was in another guest room. Bed and pillows were not comfortable at all. TV was very small and far away from the bed. Channel guide was lacking. Spiders in the bathroom. Had a corner room without visible to see the car in the parking lot.
