We had a lovely room. Everything was clean, quiet and the bed was so comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant and the food and service were wonderful. The view of the river was beautiful. We were there to see a concert and it was perfect being able to walk to the venue and not have to drive or worry about parking. Thanks for a very enjoyable stay.

Nice room, nice stay, questionable...
Liked: coffee and muffins in the lobby, very tasty. Nice lobby and rooms were very comfy and very very clean.
Disliked: Strange thing happened with front desk staff or housekeeping, not clear who was the culprit. I accidentally left a piece of clothing in the room, which I didn't realize until after I checked out. I called the front desk and housekeeping and asked them if they could go look for it and I would come pick it up as we were only 30 mins away. The front desk guy called me back and told me the housekeeper pulled the room apart, stripped the bed and it wasn't there. I guess he noted my disappointment and told me that he himself would go up to the room and check to see if he could find it and he would call me and let me know if he found it. We decided to head back to the hotel anyway, even though he didn't call to let us know he found it. It was still only noon and we didn't figure the room had gotten made up yet. We asked to go up and he said the housekeeper would meet us up there to let us in. Wouldn't you know, the room had not been touched at all. We could tell because the napkins we used for the muffins in the morning were still laying on the bed, the blankets were just as we left them, and my clothing was tucked between the night table and the bed on the floor. Visible for someone who was looking for a lost item, hidden enough that I didn't see it as we left the room. I can't understand why the front desk guy lied to me so blatantly, it just doesn't make sense. Maybe it was the housekeeper who lied to him. I can understand maybe they were too busy (although it didn't seem like it when we came back) to check, but why would he actually call me and tell me a boldfaced lie? Maybe this happens at every hotel and I am just being ignorant to think the front desk staff cares about a guest after they check out. Anyway, It is just a crazy thing. I am very happy I got my clothing back, a little disappointed in human nature. Still, this experience does not take away from the facility itself. It just makes me wonder.

Old, but elegant
Liked: The staff was helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. I had requested no feather bedding and the room had been prepared as such. They accommodated us with early check in.
Disliked: I came with a senior who uses a walker. The bathroom is terribly small with no space for bathroom items. The senior could not get in and out of the bathroom without great difficulty, then she had no place for her items. The room was small with only one chair, and I did not appreciate the view of the roof and A/C units, but after struggling to get the senior in the room and the no feathering request, I did not ask to change it. The closet barely had room for a closed suitcase and there was no place in the room to place an opened suitcase except the bed. This is not a place for the elderly.

Disliked: I book a room every year for my parents. I specifically requested a room upstairs with Elevator because my dad is handicapped. He was given a room on a lower level far away from the elevator!
