Moda Hotel

Good place to stay overall.

Liked: Location to Commodore Ballroom.
Disliked: Floors were uneven.

Not impressed. Would not stay again. So close to being a really nice hotel.

Liked: Great bathroom, bed and TVs.
Disliked: The rugs were filthy with stains - had to wear my shoes. Furniture was stained, marked up with wood peeling off. Not vacuumed. Was upgraded to a suite that was across the street. The elevator opened up to a parking garage with a glass door to 2 suites. As a woman alone, I felt very unsafe and vulnerable as the downstairs door was open to anyone as the door to the parking garage.

Had the room to stay overnight while checking out Vancouver and seeing a concert.

Liked: It was very nice and clean. Had everything I need.

Great stay for a couple...

Liked: The location of this hotel was excellent, easy to walk to Canada place and the shops/restaurants.The staff were very cheerful, always saying hello.
Disliked: The room was a good size, but bed and pillows not very comfy, also the air conditioning and water pipes from other rooms was quite noisy.

Disliked: Providing additional hooks for towels & clothes would have been appreciated. Additionally, a small fridge & microwave would have been appreciated.

Liked: Great location in downtown, walking distance to Canada Place and the Metro to the airport.
Disliked: Our room this time faced a back alley and was noisy when the bins were emptied early in the morning.

Location is stellar

Liked: Location, location, location.
Disliked: The rooms need more upgrading. It's a cool old hotel and not inexpensive. Some investment in nice bed linens and more comfortable beds would help a lot. Also not that clean. It really needs more attention to.cleanliness especially in bathroom.

Stepping back in time in...

Liked: The room was grander than expected. I loved the charm of the room and the entire hotel itself. Such a great place to stay. The staff was so helpful and kind, including the cleaning staff.
Disliked: The smell of the room was a little musty, but one the windows where open for a bit it went away.

Liked: Location is great. Rooms are small but perfect for one night. It was noisy until about 8 pm when traffic died down, then it was quiet.
Disliked: We had a problem in the cafe at breakfast but the hotel manager fixed things for us. I’d definitely recommend eating elsewhere.
