Not impressed. Would not stay again. So close to being a really nice hotel.
Liked: Great bathroom, bed and TVs.
Disliked: The rugs were filthy with stains - had to wear my shoes. Furniture was stained, marked up with wood peeling off. Not vacuumed. Was upgraded to a suite that was across the street. The elevator opened up to a parking garage with a glass door to 2 suites. As a woman alone, I felt very unsafe and vulnerable as the downstairs door was open to anyone as the door to the parking garage.

Had the room to stay overnight while checking out Vancouver and seeing a concert.
Liked: It was very nice and clean. Had everything I need.

Liked: The staff are friendly and helpful
Disliked: Since there has been a price increase, there are a few things that I am more unhappy about. The walls between rooms are badly soundproofed. On my last night the neighbouring room had a baby that was screaming all night and it was like being in the same room. The windows don't keep out the noise from outside. There are a few heavy drug users in the area and it's close to bars so there is always loud excessive shouting at night. Closing the windows does not work as much as one would like.

Didn't pay to stay in...
Liked: Location is great with a lot of walk-able amenities. Access to public transit if needed and a short drive to a lot of attractions.
Disliked: The poor rating is due to the other guests at the time of my stay. It appears the hotel housed some guests that are in the BC housing program which houses hard to house and or the homeless. 3/5 nights were extremely disruptive with banging on each others doors, visits from the social worker, and one eruption at 7am where there was an argument in the hall which lead onto the street probably waking any guests in the vicinity. Although sharing my concerns with staff there was no offer of compensation for the disruption other than an apology. If the hotel is participating in such a program that's great but they should not remain open to the general public as paying $100 a night and not feeling fully safe about your surroundings was not a relaxing experience.
