Excellent value for money

Liked: Clean, excellent location, efficient check in, very good value for money ,big room, we stayed one night for a gig, I would definitely stay there again for a night
Disliked: Decor is very tired, our room was at the front so you could hear noises from below, but it's right on the main street and has to be expected , the stairs are really steep, we were on the 3rd floor, that's not a criticism, just for information

Liked: Not much I liked just the location for what we needed it for.
Disliked: Toilets were broken in both rooms we booked. The sinks also had cracks in them, showers were terrible either scorching or freezing cold nothing in between. It was very very noisy but that was to be expected due to location. The towels had been used by the looks of it and one even had a huge hole in it. The stairs to get to the rooms are very hard work so don’t stay if you don’t want to hike. For the money it was not worth it at all very expensive for a very poor quality hotel.

Liked: Room basic clean met needs reasonably modern
Disliked: Stairs very steep no rails on part staircase. Approximately 20 steps.Booked into top floor been around 50 + steep steps I could not handle with bags impossible. The ad on Booking.com does not say the public car park 15 minute walk away and no hotel concierge. Room key take away shop and to get voucher car park walk another 5 minutes away from car park location. I was late for appointment and paid £35 to park for 14 hours overnight. Bad choice

outdated, rundown and unclean

Liked: the location is great which is the only redeemable quality of this property. staff was friendly and free wifi is a bonus
Disliked: The whole property is incredibly run down, to the point where the leather was completely peeled off the chair, the carpet on the stairs is worn down to the floorboards, there are holes in the wall and the bathroom door did not shut. the beds were comfortable enough but the pillows had a damp smell, the lamp shade was covered in what looked like water marks? the whole room looked like it hadn’t been touched or renovated in about 20 years. i’m not one for caring about a modern look, but when furniture and appliances are so old you can’t tell if it’s clean it’s past needing to be replaced. the shower had pink mould and clearly isn’t regularly cleaned. it was described as being akin to ‘a bail hostel’. we aren’t the kind of people to kick up a fuss and considering we were literally just there for a place to sleep we decided to stay the night but we felt so uncomfortable the entire stay as we just did not feel confident it was clean.
