Mitico Hotel & Natural Spa

Excellent

Liked: Rooms - big, spacious, clean and well insulated / really quietFree Mini Fridge - with water, snacks and juice Breakfast - was delicious, it is a mixture of a hot breakfast (waffles , bacon, eggs) and cold breakfast (pastries, bread, yogurt) with juices (including freshly squeezed right in front of you orange juice), water, teas etc. I only stayed one night so I don’t know if the contents change from day to day Staff were lovely and polite Massage available on request & payment (€60 for 50 minutes) - it was okay, I explain further in the next section. The hotel call a masseuse to attend the massage room based on your availability. I didn’t access the spa but it is my understanding that it is a private spa area in a hotel room that the charge to access; not a typical spa for access for all.
Disliked: There was nothing I didn’t enjoy. The hotel was great, rooms were spacious, clean and well insulated and staff were lovely. If I had to be picky I’d say the only negative is the distance away from central Bologna - the bus stops right outside the hotel and it’s a 20-30 minute ride. Massage was okay but not typical - not a typical aromatherapy/relaxing or deep tissue massage. Masseuse would apply direct pressure and wait / stay still the same again somewhere else for the first half of the massage then last half it was more like a normal relaxing massage with very light pressure. I don’t know if this is masseuse dependent / they use the same one etc. I’d asked about 5 minutes in if it could be a normal massage and she informed me this was part of the process. Not bad, just not quite right for me.

Exceptional

Liked: Nice hotel, very good breakfast and dinner. The rooms are clean.
Disliked: It is a bit far from the center, but this we already knew. Bus 25 which brings you to the city and the central station stops just outside the hotel.

Superb

Comfy room, excellent breakfast, location...

Liked: Excellent breakfast and comfortable room. For dinner we had pizza from the hotel restaurant two days in a row because it’s really good (especially the mortadella)!
Disliked: It is a bit farther away from the city - taxi/bus to the center. There’s a bus stop right in front of the hotel, which is nice, but buses generally don’t seem reliable or at least difficult to figure out. We ended up taking the bus to (and back from) the main station, which came more frequently.

Liked: Location is very convenient, staff was friendly, overall a modern hotel
Disliked: Pillows were pretty flat. Breakfast variety could be better. They frequently ran out of boiled eggs, no fresh vegetables besides available besides cucumber sticks.

Liked: Mitico Hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. The staff was incredibly amiable, caring, and attentive, making me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. The hotel itself was spotless, with an impressive level of cleanliness that added to the overall comfort.Breakfast was truly fabulous, with a variety of delicious options to start the day right. A special mention to the young waitress who served with so much warmth and dedication—it was clear that he truly loved his job, which made the experience even more enjoyable.Highly recommend!
