Mississauga Gate Inn

Booked room 1 month ahead. Staff on front desk were unable to find confirmation of room - ended up in a smoking room in which I was unaware of. Room we ended up in was like a dirty ash tray. It would probably be cleaner in a dumpster !

Disliked: Terrible experience.

Liked: The location was pretty good.
Disliked: Had issues regarding the bathroom. Spoke to the lady at the front desk. A cleaning lady jumped in on our conversation. Was told it was a new bathroom. Older door was quite damaged. The bathroom vent looked like it had a lot of dust build up. Mold starting on the ceiling (bathroom). Entrance door was dirty. I asked the lady at the front desk to speak to the manager. She said they weren't there. The cleaning lady rudely jumped into our conversation. She mentioned that the lady I was talking to was one of the managers.I showed both of them pictures of the bathroom issues. I was told that I was wrong. Wow! I had to go with them to (pretty much) the other side of the hotel while my wife waited in the car. This was our anniversary trip.

The deposit fee was disappointing...

Liked: It was the cheapest option but it was usually a 45-60 minute drive from the city to the hotel due to traffic.
Disliked: My biggest issue was that they charged us a $200 safety deposit which I didn't see anything about that prior to booking the room. The AC didn't work or cool off the room at all. The hallways smelled like a mix of urine and cleaning agents.

Need clean, need Air Conditioner,...

Liked: Peaceful and quiet. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and helpful. Thank you for a great experience at your hotel.
Disliked: Nothing, we wished we had time to stay another night but had to get back to the kids lolWe will definitely be booking again soon for cupple nights next time.
