Very disappointed the pictures on...

Liked: Bed was very comfortable and a good sized room
Disliked: On arrival no information given about facilities ie where was the bar what were the arrangements for the restaurant or timings for breakfast etc. the room lacked character poor paint work patched up no artwork in room just plain walls. Apart from bed the furniture was poor. No walk in shower. No information in the room no menu nothing. Small things would make a difference. Also the bar was dirty out table was sticky and I had to ask for it to be cleaned. Food in restaurant was limited and definitely over priced for the quality

Liked: Comfortable rooms and bed. Staff very nice and helpful. Main building is lovely. Good pool facilities, nice to have a small gym. Ample parking. Overall, a very comfortable stay.
Disliked: The garden house, building at the back, needs a good paint. This is a bit of a shock, as you believe you are staying in the main, beautiful, building, and actually you are staying in a separate building with poor exterior at the back! interestingly, only the main building is shown online!!! I heard it being referenced as 'the prison block.' Not what you want when you are staying at a hotel! Breakfast OK. Eggs were really greasy. would have liked an option of something like, poached eggs and avocado on nice bread. The service at dinner in the evening was poor. We had to ask repeatedly for things we had ordered. Maybe a very busy evening, but still inconvenient to repeatedly chase things up. The pear salad was poorly presented: Everyone commented with shock! it looked like soggy iceberg lettuce. I could have done better at home. I added Mozerella cheese to the order, and for a small pot of this, it was £7!!! Again, the people I was with were shocked at the cost of a bit of cheese! I would not recommend this dish at all. I didn't complain at the time, as the staff cannot change the price. I was with colleagues, so I did not want to make a fuss. In addition, I am vegetarian, so there were limited alternative options available. I would think twice about eating dinner here again. Many colleagues were not impressed with their meals either. Improve the salad options please! Restaurants do some great 'nourish bowl' type offerings. Maybe you could do the same?!
