Amazing food and beautiful nature,...

Liked: The hotel is located right next to a river with a lovely river walk that one can take all the way to Dedham. The food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic! The staff were also incredibly friendly.
Disliked: The A12 is within earshot of the hotel, so you can hear the cars going by during the day if you open the window. We were placed in room 14, right by the fire/staff exit, which made a lot of noise during the day, which wasn't ideal when the baby was trying to nap. The interior is a bit 'tired' and in need of a face-lift, as other reviewers have commented. The £35 pet fee was not mentioned when booking the room and a bit steep comparing to other hotels.

Pleasant but room wasn’t clean

Liked: Location was lovely, especially the gardens. Breakfast selection was good and staff were friendly.
Disliked: Not sure how hygienic non washable fluffy cushions are in a room. And the roll up curtains. Room was infested with lady bugs and overall the cleanliness in the room was poor. There room location was just above the kitchens or functional rooms and we could hear furniture being moved all night.

Liked: The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was delicious.
Disliked: It was very noisy at night. People above sounded like they were moving furniture very late. It was hard to sleep

Liked: Very scenic. Staff were the best, very helpful and exceptional in making my stay wonderful !
Disliked: I think it would be a good idea to take the fur covers off the beds and be changed to something lighter

Liked: Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is very good, excellent for us to go to the Tolboth Restaurant owned by the same company.
Disliked: Our room was smaller than I expected though it did have all the facilities required. It was also noisy, both from above and from the outside in the corridor.

Wonderful stay at Milsoms

Liked: We liked everything. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a beautiful view of their wonderful tree in the garden. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly and attentive. They was extremely trustworthy as I accidentally left my phone in the toilets and also cash in the room. They contacted me by phone and I went back to collect. Very impressed.
Disliked: There was only one thing we didn't like. There was a couple in the restaurant wearing baseball caps but this was obviously nothing to do with the Hotel.
