What stay? They were closed...

Liked: The property was closed when we arrived at 4 pm and was still closed at 5 pm. No cars in the carpark and gate locked. Couldn’t get any response from hammering on the door or by ringing their telephone number repeatedly. We did not stay there even though we had paid £105.58 on 15th January 2025 , and eventually got a bed for the night at the Premier Inn in Newark. Can we reclaim our money? Whatever the problems they are having, they could at least have let us know!

Liked: The hotel had closed down, and we arrived to find the barrier over the entrance, and no one was there. Fortunately, we were assisted by 2 ladies from across the road to find alternative accommodation , which of course we had to pay cash . PLEASE return my £105.86 paid to yourselves, which I paid by credit card, and therefore have recourse. A terrible experience on a very busy period in Newark, and thankfully there are some kind people about

Liked: Good size room with settee plus chair and table.
Disliked: The low water pressure / flow made it impossible to use the bath.

Liked: Nice reception and lounge area, room was basic but clean.
Disliked: Couldn't sit on the loo as it was too close to the wall.
