Comfort and Convenience Just Outside Manchester

Modern and welcoming, Miller & Carter Heaton Chapel by Innkeeper's Collection is a smart choice for music lovers heading to Manchester or Stockport. Located just a 5-minute walk from Heaton Chapel Railway Station, this hotel offers seamless access to the region’s top concert venues while providing a peaceful retreat after the show. With free private parking and a popular on-site steakhouse, it’s a well-rounded option for anyone making a night of it.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’re just a short train ride from Manchester’s biggest music stages, and being only 8 miles from the airport makes it a breeze for out-of-town fans. The 15:00 check-in and generous 12:00 check-out give you time to relax before and after the concert. The quiet suburban setting means you can actually sleep after the encore, and with free parking, it’s ideal for drivers heading to a gig.

Who this Hotel is great for

Groups of friends heading to a big show will love the easy transport links and on-site restaurant.
Solo travelers chasing a dream concert will appreciate the quiet rooms and safe neighborhood.
Couples can enjoy a romantic meal before the music starts.
Fans needing downtime after the noise will appreciate the calm atmosphere.
Budget-conscious music fans get quality without breaking the bank.

Food and Drink Options

The hotel is home to a Miller & Carter steakhouse, perfect for pre-show dinners or late bites until around 10pm. While 24/7 room service isn't on offer, you’ll find tea and coffee facilities in every room for that late-night wind down. Start your morning with a hearty breakfast – ideal for recovering from a night of dancing.

Nightlife Options

While the hotel itself leans quiet, you’re only minutes from Manchester’s buzzing nightlife by train. Prefer to stay close? Heaton Chapel and nearby Heaton Moor offer trendy pubs and laid-back bars without the city chaos.

What People Say

Guests rave about the friendly staff, comfortable beds, and the convenience of the location. Many mention the steakhouse as a highlight, and the free parking is a frequent bonus for drivers. It’s often described as clean, cozy, and great value.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the decor is a little dated in parts, and while the hotel is close to public transport, it’s not in the heart of the action – which for many, is actually a plus. There’s also no elevator, so pack light if you’re on an upper floor.

The Bottom Line

A solid, affordable option for concert-goers wanting easy access to Manchester venues with a comfy, quiet place to crash.

Comfortable clean

Liked: Fine for the cost
Disliked: There was a continuous banging through out the night. No idea what it was but sounded like it was a air conditioning unit

Decent overnight stop for Manchester

Liked: Everything was satisfactory. Comfortable room. Quite spacious. Decent size bathroom with a decent shower. Pretty much fulfilled the basic requirements. Staff were very welcoming. Very nice part of Manchester with lovely coffee shops at Heaton Moor (not far away).
Disliked: The stairs from the first to the second floor are really quite steep, but manageable. If stairs are challenging for you then perhaps this accommodation is not for you. Configuration of an ironing board, complete with iron attached, stored in the clothes hanging space (like a wardrobe with no outer) was not ideal.

Overall a good experience and...

Liked: Jess was very welcoming and so friendly, received great service from her, in fact everybody was really nice, but she stood out to us.
Disliked: There should have been a mini fridge with either cans or water etc in the room, so I bought 4 small cartons of apple juice from the bar which came to £11.40 and I thought this was a ridiculous price. To avoid spending more we went to a shop across the street for drinks and snacks in the room.

What's not to like!

Liked: Relaxed atmosphere. Helpful, polite & professional staff. Food was a good quality and value for money.
Disliked: The bar closes at 10:30pm - would have been nice to have this available for residents.
