Overall great experience. Very charming hotel with very friendly staff. It's older so there are subtle details needing some aesthetic updating. However it did not take away from a wonderful experience.

Liked: Quite charming.
Disliked: No hypo-allergenic sheets and the sheets on the bed were cheap; low thread count sheets; there was a musty smell of powder in our room.

Liked: Every member of the staff was amazing as well as very helpful! A special thank you to our wait staff, in the downstairs hotel bistro! Would stay again.
Disliked: We had a toddler with us so using the sink to brush his teeth and wash his hands was difficult because the sink was so high. There was no bathtub only a shower so bathing was tough. The water changes temperature (HOT) and is really annoying!!

Liked: - Unbeatable location: 5 min from the beach, John Hancock Center and Bloomingdales one block away, 'L' (public transportation) to downtown only a few blocks away
Disliked: Lobby was not very impressive, elevators seemed not to function all the time (long wait), internet signal went 'in and out'

Liked: I loved the location as well as the staff. I am not sure why it's a Four star vs five. Every person I met that worked at the hotel was more than accommodating and happy to assist.

John Fri, 17 November 2017

Liked: Location, bathroom (shower), bed comfort, friendly staff
Disliked: Slow and small elevators with one appearing to be chronically out of service. It's disrespectful of guests' time to put them in a position of 10 minutes to traverse a few floors with their luggage.
