Overall great experience. Very charming hotel with very friendly staff. It's older so there are subtle details needing some aesthetic updating. However it did not take away from a wonderful experience.

Liked: Quite charming.
Disliked: No hypo-allergenic sheets and the sheets on the bed were cheap; low thread count sheets; there was a musty smell of powder in our room.

Do NOT stay at this...

Liked: The location of the hotel was great, other than that the Hotel was not up to standards. They forgot to mention that there was a conference held at the hotel. Was too busy and crowded. The bed was very uncomfortable, no drinking water you had to go down and bring bottles up to your room, no coffee machine as they promised. Also, keep your eye on what they charge on your credit card, they could not even add 76 +76 and they overcharged my credit card extra 46.96 dollars for parking. When I pointed that out they gave me credit back of 48.00 dollars. And they put a hold on my credit card for 200 dollars instead of 100 dollars that was mentioned on their website. they promised they will refund the 200 dollars after a week!! I will never use this hotel ever again.
Disliked: everything... read the above text.

Not impressed

Liked: Nothing stood out
Disliked: Old and outdated. The valet ticket number didn't work. Deposit held twice. The location of the room was not clear. The heat didn't work in the room. The television kept doing updates. The view of the roof was unappealing. The pre check in notifications were too many. The nightstands and lamps were too far away from the bed.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Thurman Fri, 23 May 2025

Great location, disappointing accommodations. Overpriced...

Liked: The location is perfect, right off Michigan Ave, you are close to everything.
Disliked: The property is dated, dingy, and not at all up to par with nearby hotels. Carpets are stained, elevator got stuck multiple times, room is spacious but air conditioning was noisy and sounded like it was gonna fall through the roof. No room service, small restaurant that's not open long enough.
