Liked: Style/decor.
Disliked: No information in room in regards to internet/what features available in hotel. Restaurant menus. No robes in room, had to ring room service for them as well as only 3 English tea bags, which is not sufficient for 2 people for 2 nights. Bedside table had not been cleaned as wet marks from previous occupants still visible. No standing lamp in our room which is is pictured on your website. On second day the hot water was a murky shade of brown.

Will definitely stay there again.
Liked: Location was great. Room perfect, liked location of room. Staff were very helpful, lady at reception who made our grand daughter feel so special with a chocolate treat. Being able to rent vehicle at the hotel and staff member who helped us when we returned it.
Disliked: Not keen on the room service menu.

Disliked: We waiting 30mins for the room to be available, but the room was dusty and had snot on the wall by the toilet. We were given 4 vouchers for the bar but the lady was rude when we used them. Guy was helpful.

Never again - Blatant discrimination...
Disliked: Staff were rude and passive-aggressive. I was required to pay a deposit, even though I used a credit card. The manager wasn’t around to dispute this. I had to wait until checkout to receive the apology from the manager. There was a long line of people waiting to check in, and I appeared to be the only one who was asked to put down a deposit. This was confirmed after speaking to a couple in the lobby and another couple in the bar who didn’t have to pay a deposit. Tried to put food and drinks in the room like any other hotel, but was denied, yet other guests were doing it. It appears to be blatant discrimination from most staff members. It wasn’t until staff rotation the next day that I got new staff that I was “allowed” to put my breakfast in the room before checking out. Will never stay here again.

Superb
Liked: Central location, close to Queen Street. Nicely appointed room, very clean & spacious. Good choice of food for breakfast. Excellent facilities including pool, sauna & gym. Staff were very friendly & helpful even allowing us a late check-out. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Disliked: Minor point but our room overlooked a carpark, so no great view of the city. Bedsheets were a little starchy. TV viewing would have worked better if TV was wall-mounted.

Old favourite
Liked: Although the rooms are severely outdated, the hotel itself is enjoyable for our family. The buffet breakfast is always great, best coffee I’ve had in a while as well! Rooms are tidy and clean but just a little bit run down in some areas, carpet, side tables etc.
Disliked: Just the outdated rooms. But otherwise good value for money.
