Liked: Simply beautiful! Huge space, 2 bedroom, 160sqm with gorgeous views.Dinner at Kobe was delicious and a 2 min walk!

Not what you would expect.

Liked: Location was good and the bedroom was very nice.
Disliked: This is marketed as a high-end resort. But unfortunately, it missed the mark. Either the owners are out of touch around what high end means, or they just don't get when you pay $650.00 per night there are things that are expected.White ware that works is a must. Both the dishwasher and the clothes dryer did not work. Good WiFi is another must, but again, patchy at best here.The bathroom wall had a chip in the tile, which looks like it was there from day one.Our room was like being in a basement, a nice basement, but still a basement. When I asked if we could be shifted, the manager understood why we wanted to be moved, but could not find another room to match our stay. But he did try his best.When I went to the hole in one café to get a morning coffee, I asked for a plain croissant, I was rudely told they did not do plain croissants. I commented on her attitude, and she promptly changed, but still no offer to go across to the kitchen to see if one was available after telling me that was where they were made.The main pool area is like an old barn and nowhere the standard that it should be. We traveled around the South Island for 2 weeks, and Millbrook Resort was the most disappointing accommodation we had. Even though the room rate was twice what we paid everywhere else.Not high-end accommodation.
