Nice view. Comfy bed. Furniture...

Liked: The view
Disliked: Difficult to open drawers and cupboards as only had small leather tag to pull and they were a bit grubby. Toilet too close to head of bed. No guide in the room. Same last year when they said they were being printed.

Overpriced, shabby and not clean....

Liked: Location is very good. Car parking was adequate
Disliked: This once proud and prestigious hotel has been allowed to fall into disrepair. Our room was shabby with broken access handle to cupboards and drawers. The fridge was out of order in August - not acceptable as the management knew about this before we arrived. There was scaffolding outside the back of the hotel restricting the view from the dining room - we were not informed of this when we booked. The breakfast serving room was sparse and resembled a students accommodation area. The public toilets were dirty and the floor hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Sinks had black mould around them. The red carpet near the lift on the second floor had been repaired with silver coloured duck tape. Dining room table was scratched melamine and the tables in the garden area had green broccoli smeared on one side and obviously hadn’t been wiped down. There was dog urine on the entrance wall and no litter bin to put the copious amounts of cigarette butts left on the steps to front entrance. This hotel is extremely overpriced and disappointing.

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Disappointing

Liked: The view from the junior Suite remains the reason for staying.
Disliked: Unfortunately, this Hotel has nosedived from that that opened in 2009 when we last stayed. Tired fittings and furnishings. Out of use facilities. The fantastic Rotunda cocktail bar gone. The elegant dining area replaced with a bland affair. The waiting staff that we met appeared to have very little or no training. So much so that after 20 minutes of sitting at our table awaiting for even the drinks order to be taken, let alone dinner, we walked out of the Hotel to eat elsewhere.

A perfect few days. Beautiful...

Liked: I've always wanted to stay at this hotel since I was a child! I originally came from Lancaster so was always aware of the Midland. It's perfectly positioned on the prom alongside the pier with sculptures of birds. The rooms are very comfortable with both the wardrobe and the toilet hidden behind wooden structures, very much art decor! Excellent cooked breakfasts in the morning.
Disliked: Having to book out by 10.30am!

Beautiful views

Liked: Beautiful views across Morecambe Bay. Staff were very polite and helpful.
Disliked: It will be great when the necessary works are completed and the scaffolding can come down.

First impressions on arrival need...

Liked: Have stayed here a few times and enjoyed.
Disliked: Stayed in a different room this time. The money we paid I don’t expect to see threadbare carpets also stains on them.I booked a sea view room with balcony. Would have expected before booking this that scaffolding that was blocking the views was mentioned so I could make my own mind up whether to book it or not.Shower area needs a good scrub. Marks on quilt cover covered up with a throw Marks on wall For the money spent on this room not up to scratch or what I would have expected from usually a lovely room

Disappointing - 2.0 out of 5

Very disappointing and poor value...

Liked: Incredible sunset from the sea view rooms . Although very tired looking the rooms were at least very clean.
Disliked: Definitely not worth the cost . The feel of a Wetherspoons with rooms - although the food at Wetherspoons is better value . No reception, just an area at the end of the bar that was often not staffed. Young , untrained , inexperienced staff with very little idea about how to interact with guests. Dogs continuously barking in the breakfast room was very annoying - the guests should have been asked to take it outside. The coffee, cereal , toast area was more like a YMCA - cheapest bread , cheapest yoghurts etc etc

B Awful.

Liked: Leaving. The room had no air conditioning. The bed was small for 2 people. The staff were very young and inexperienced.I booked a table for the evening meal at 7-30 pmI was told I was being placed on table 7.Someone else sat at table 7 and I ended up with his wine bill.
Disliked: Car parking is good. I think we should have been told about the major repairs that are going on. There was no water in the room.I had to go in the lift to the bar. £322.00per night NOT GOOD.
