Middletons is a collection of six historical Grade-II listed building located around a secluded courtyard garden in the heart of York city center 2625 feet from York Rail Station and York Minster. It offers complimentary access to a fitness center with a gym. The hotel is 7 minutes' drive from York Racecourse. Individually decorated the rooms with attached bathroom have free high-speed WiFi a TV and tea and coffee-making facilities as basic facilities. A fresh breakfast is available every morning and the modern Sawmill restaurant offers a varied menu throughout the day. A very good bicycle-friendly hotel,...

Liked: Staff were very helpful with the storage of our two bicycles.Excellent breakfast selection.Easy walking distance to main York tourist attractions eg. York Minster, The Shambles etc.As the weather was very hot the fully functioning aircon was most welcome!

Nice plants polite staff air...

Liked: Well kept garden tasty breakfast
Disliked: the view from our room considering the price. the air con re setting throughout the night loudly even when switched off, im not a light sleeper be it kept waking me up. Did tell the front desk they reacted as though this is just how it is. for over £400 i would have expected a more proactive reaction.

It is a lovely hotel...

Liked: Lovely atmosphere and excellent staff.
Disliked: Housekeeping could have paid more attention , I am aware they have time constraints but as a four star hotel, management should ensure that there are enough staff to complete the task to a four star standard. My only bugbears were minor ones, previous occupants receipts still in drawer along with their watch charger, as we stayed for two nights I would have expected the cups to be changed for clean ones and tea, coffee, milk and other such items to be replenished this was not the case and upon reading other reviews once home I find I am not alone in expecting such a basic expectation to be met.
