Mid-City Motel

We booked 2 nights and...

Liked: The location was great, the owner was doing her best.
Disliked: This motel has much potential but no one has invested in it in a very long time. If you are traveling for work and just need a place to crash it's doable. If you are traveling with your family, or you are a germaphobe this is not for you. Air conditioning has 2 settings on(loud) and off. The table lamp was unplugged so the air could be plugged in. the tv is plugged into an extension cord with 3 other things on the table top. There was no remote. The lamps over the beds ( circa 1958) are so high I had to stand on the bed to turn them on, but they also were not plugged in . Just a really rough place with so much potential.

Worst room we’ve ever had...

Liked: Not much!!!!
Disliked: The entire room. Everything was none functional.Lights, tv remote, had to turn off with buse bar power strip. Door appeared to have been opened by the local S.W.A.T team, door jam was all busted out. There were plenty of towels if you were brave enough to climb into the scary shower. There were no Kleenex in dispenser but on their website it did state that the room came with toilet paper. There was a huge stain on the bed spread. There was no soap of any kind to wash your hands. The local spiders 🕷️ displayed their cobwebs above one bed. The dresser apparently had a broken drawer, so someone removed it and got rid of it. The best part was the room key that said “Hilton” hotels. 🤣

Would not choose another stay...

Liked: Staff very accommodating and pleasant to work with.
Disliked: Would not choose to stay in the future. Property was clean but outdated tiles in bathroom broken and sharp edges exposed to clients using the small shower stall. No handicapped capped accommodations.

Did not and never will...

Liked: There was nothing to like.
Disliked: People wandering around the parking area. Decided to check the room prior to my stay. When I got to the room the door was already open, the television was on, and lights were on. It was obvious someone was in the room just prior to our arrival. Did not feel safe personally, or for my vehicle. We turned the keys back in and found other accommodations.

Bad

Liked: Nothing
Disliked: The condition of the premises, accumulated trash, conditions of the room, among many, see pictures, power distribution, heating element with no cover, front door that appeared to have been kicked in at some time. We opted to not stay, informed the manager, she said she understood and supposedly requested a credit from booking.com, said I should see it on my account in 3-5 days. This property appeared to be home for day to day or week to week renters not travelers
