I strongly refer others to...

Liked: the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. There were pleanty of cleaning staff who did an amazing job> the patio on the roof is delightfully arranged. The hostel is quiet and well maintianed. The common room had ample work spaces for working with guests lap top computers. common seating areas where well provided for. The kitchen is well supplied, along with indicidual locks for storing personal items. the hostel loaned me a small lock to secure the locker (an extra feature I hadn't planned on bringing). The location is very centrally located, and many restuarnats and stores are nearby, along with other tourist attractions. It is located on a street that has a lot of police presents....it is a very safe area....located 2 blocks from the zocalo. It's a great price for the value.
Disliked: the chemcical smell of the cleaning products used in the room. I had a door to the small balcony in my room, which I opened along with the fan. Which easily aired out the room to remove the smell.

Hotel yes hostel no

Liked: Modern, huge building with great facilities. Right next to the square if you want to stay down town (be prepared for noise). Staff at reception were friendly. Free drinking water.
Disliked: If you want a hostel vibe I wouldn't stay here. Run like a hotel, housekeeping comes to your room every day and there are signs asking for tips. Would be great if you invested some time and activities into creating an atmosphere, as like others have said, there is none and I was there for a week. If you have a room by reception you will constantly hear the door bell ring as they do not give you keys to enter, reception has to buzz you in. The longer term stayers - old men who spend the entire day every day sitting in the lounge area do change the vibe sorry.
