Superb

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at the Mevagissey Bay Hotel. The place is newly renovated to a very high standard, and our hosts were delightful. Our room was upstairs overlooking the bay with a spacious ensuite. There is a breakfast room, guest lounge and terrace for a sunny afternoon treat (either tea and scones or something stronger). We had a great time exploring this beautiful part of the Cornish coastline. It's worth walking down to Portmellon at least once for dinner at the Rising Sun Inn. The local coast walks are great and the village of Mevagissey offers lots of options for the usual Cornish fare eg pasties, fish and chips and icecream. We were also very lucky with the weather, warm and sunny.

Beautiful location + excellent owners...

Liked: Great location, beautiful view.Fully renovated hotel, everything is new and very clean.Excellent breakfast, from avocado on toast with a poached egg and chilli flakes to a cooked Cornish breakfast, all freshly prepared.Sam and Roy (owners and operators) couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Their knowledge of the area and tips about what to do and how to get there made our life a lot easier. Recommendations about best roads, ferry times (be there 30 minutes early!), best restaurants in town (book in advance), etc. helped us making the most of the holiday.

Excellent hotel in beautiful Mevagissey

Liked: We booked an impromptu short break in Cornwall at the Mevagissey Bay Hotel based on recent outstanding reviews. Everything that people are saying about the new owners, Sam and Roy, are spot on! they are fantastic and really friendly hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable and our breakfast each morning was excellent. The location of the hotel overlooks a small bay and is just stunning. We had a very enjoyable and relaxing few days. We highly recommend this hotel in the beautiful little fishing village of Mevagissey! Thank you Sam and Roy - we really would love to return one day☺️

Birthday treat.

Liked: I booked this hotel for a birthday treat for my wife, the owners Roy and Sam were amazing hosts and thanks to them our 4 day break was excellent. The room No7 was 1st floor sea view and what a view it was, spotlessly clean and a big bathroom with shower, super comfy bed, tea and coffee making facilities and coffee machine, fresh water daily and fresh milk from the dining room fridge. Arrived on day one and had G&Ts on the outside deck and Roy's home made scones were the best we've tasted. The hotel is at the top of Polkirt Hill Mevagissey, but the short 10 minutes walk down through the park to the harbour town gets easier as the week goes on. Lots of coastal path walks and coves to see, just an amazing place to be. I just want to add that Sam helped me to organise flowers and wine for the room for my wife's birthday, and she added a small birthday cake 🎂 as a surprise too which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this hotel and will be back to visit again sometime in the future.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: We liked Everything about this hotel. Same and Roy run an exceptionally clean, friendly hotel. You are not just made to feel welcome from the beginning it you are welcomed as new friends. Fantastic breakfast choices, wonderfully cooked and served by lovely friendly polite staff. Bedrooms spotlessly clean and beds really comfortable. Bar area and lounge have excellent views of the bay and we were lucky enough to see dolphins and seals in the bay.
