The Metropole Hotel is well-placed in the center of the coastal resort of Torquay which is just a few minutes' walk from Torquay's seafront while restaurants and shops surrounding the marina can be reached after 15 minutes' walk. With Brixham and Paignton within easy reach you can leave you car in the hotels parking lot and explore using public transport. All rooms at Metropole Hotel feature a private bathroom TV tea/coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. The south facing rooms have views across the gardens towards the sea. There is a restaurant in the lower ground floor and a bar with dancefloor where entertainment is provided most evenings. Torquay's Princess Theater and neighboring Babbacombe Theater provide a year round program of entertainment. Please note that all bedrooms are non-smoking. I wouldn’t stay again really...

Liked: The room was very clean bathroom lovely and the staff were very nice. Breakfast ok.
Disliked: Coach trip took over the hotel and bar area in the evening to such an extent we did not stay the second day because of the coach guests and the weather. The facilities in the hotel were pretty poor overall apart from our hotel room

A comfortable, value for money...

Liked: Location was great. Nice big car park, no problems with parking. Comfortable beds, good water pressure on the shower and enough tea and coffee in the room.
Disliked: Room was a little tired decor wise.
