Great stopover for Ipswich Town...

Liked: It was very busy on arrival but the staff tried to look after us as quickly and efficiently as possible. The room was basic but comfortable and clean and surprisingly quiet. It is in a great location for Portman Road, and is ideal for evening matches.
Disliked: Nothing springs to mind. A straightforward pub/hotel at a reasonable price.

Exceptional

Liked: We arrived very late because of traffic but the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast etc well explained and entrance to rooms really easy. Location for football ground is superb - it's my 3rd time staying here and I will be back.

Disliked: Had to make several trips to sort out the keys for one of our room.We asked for a twin bed in one of the rooms but had one double instead.

Great value

Liked: Clean, spacious room, comfy bed. Very quiet at night. Loved that we could see the river. Staff were very pleasant and helpful, and did a brilliant job even though there were not enough of them. Carvery was tasty and breakfast was good.
Disliked: Only two teabags on tray but we were given more when we asked. Very poor quality toilet roll. Desk was badly scratched. Staff were clearly overworked but kept smiling and looked after everyone well.

Liked: Good room for the price. Nice selection of meals from the restaurant. We had the continental breakfast and enjoyed it. Good value

Liked: Very roomy, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.
Disliked: The only downside is not having an elevator as it is hard carrying luggage upstairs if having health or mobility issues.
