Very good

Liked: Quick check in. Pleasant, peaceful location. Good selection for breakfast.
Disliked: Rather unsightly damage in the corridor from what look liked to have been a water leak. This could do with being put right quite quickly. It didn't appear to be a very recent happening.

Very good

Liked: Beautiful hotel in lovely grounds, the room was in the main hall & was stunning
Disliked: It was a double room but the bed was 2 singles pushed together which kept separating. Otherwise I can't fault it

Poor - 0.5 out of 5

very poor

Liked: the setting and grounds are lovely
Disliked: the cleanliness; there were toenail clippings left on the chair in my room. the food was poor, the front desk unhelpful, the general hotel corridors also dirty and the room I had very hot with no opening windows or working AC

Excellent apart from the dirt

Liked: Location was lovely, grounds of hotel beautiful. Lovely view from room
Disliked: The balconies for the rooms are filthy and full of weeds and moss. Mine also had 3 cigarrette butts on it. Look very uncared for which is a shame because hotel is otherwise excellent. Have stayed here before 2 years ago and the balconies were pretty bad then but worse now. Maid lent me a little dustpan and brush but they really need to be provided with better tools to clean.

A beautiful peaceful hotel that...

Liked: The grounds and buildings were stunning and pleasant to walk round.
Disliked: The spa facilities were in a different building so we couldn't just go back to our room we had to leave the building. Also we asked about staying another night but the rate was double what we payed for our stay and I hoped they would offer a different room for a price nearer to what we payed (we know we had a good rate for our night) or off some discount for our room again but non was forthcoming so we didn't stay a 2nd night unfortunately

Liked: .
Disliked: Rooms were tired and somewhat barren.Surroundings and hallway were tired. Why were there night guards in my block. Why was I asked to pay £50 deposit 'to charge a beer ' to my room, when I had paid at that point upfront the nights stay of £300ish
