Filthy

Liked: The grounds
Disliked: We had a room in an outbuilding It was filthy No remote Towels hard and crustyBalcony full of moss and dirtThen to top it off a rat crawled across the balcony Moved rooms to within the main hotel Lovely on face value then went to get into bed - sheets full of hairs unsure if dog or human and two bugs crawled from the top blanket

Liked: The hotel is lovely and set in beautiful grounds. Bar area nice and welcoming. Breakfast was great, plenty to eat and a great selection.
Disliked: The first time I visited I had a nice room, overlooking the area. It was a nice room, well appointed and comfortable and that feel of high end. This visit I got room 303 which is nice and no complaints but is oddly appointed (a sheet thing to cover the window because of the odd location) - more Travelodge than Walton Hall.

We would stay again but...

Liked: We planned to spend the morning at the market and decided to book the hotel to save travelling twice in one day.Lovely greetings on arrival, surrounding beautiful.Room very spacious and inviting.Lovely and quiet, no kids running around upstairs!Superb price for a late booking.Awesome turkish just a short drive away.
Disliked: So we got a walk in shower room which was just amazing, just a shame we couldn't get in as the water was scalding hot, on every setting. (Room 102)Breakfast was a huge choice but sadly hot food was just warm. The bed was hugggeee but sadly felt every spring :( I had high hopes for that bed when I clapped eyes on it..

Good

Disliked: Was disappointed that the double bed was actually 2 singles forcing myself and my partner to sleep like 2 nuns on either side as we couldn’t fit on one single otherwise one would fall down the centre of the beds

Great place to stay with...

Liked: Great localiastion, room I had was quite spacious, it was great. The grounds of the hotel offered great opportunity to walk the dog in the morning and evening when I was in the hotel.
Disliked: The only aspect that could be looked into by the hotel, would be to offer a bit bigger variety for breakfast, and to make for example fried eggs instead of scrambled from powder...
