We had a 2 night stay - my husband booked the Friday night and I the Saturday night. The receptionist said it would be OK to keep the same room for both nights - however, when returning to our room on Saturday afternoon the key wouldn't work, so we had to get it sorted out with reception. Seems there is no communication between staff. Apart from that, a very enjoyable stay.

Liked: Comfortable bed!
Disliked: Breakfast - no one to greet you and explain how the system worked.

Liked: Most staff were friendly.the girl behind the bar Sunday and Monday was amazing 5 five stars for her. Sweet friendly and helpful. Cleaning staff was great. The gentleman behind the bar on Wednesday was really helpful 5 stars to him too.
Disliked: Everything was good.

Worn out hotel, with struggling...

Liked: Although the staff seemed overwhelmed, they were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Older hotel, worn around the edges, but worst of all - No AC during warm July stay. The hotel stressed that they didn't have gym nor pool, but I don't recall they advertising that they had no AC! Also no fans and windows that only opened a few cm dew to H&S. We stayed 4 nights for anniversary and although notifying staff on day one of no remote for TV, non was produced until the final day. Certainly not worthy of a Mercure four star rating! Stressed staff did find us an electric fan, but it was noisy and on a timer so that we had to wake up throughout the night to reset the timer...
