British customer service often lets...

Liked: It is difficult to write negative things and know that it may affect a person‘s position in that place of work. The thing to do is to simply say that it is important that even when you turn up at a hotel late in the evening that you are given all the information you need. What did we like? It had a front door, it had a bed, there were drinks in the room.
Disliked: We arrived late in the evening and were signed in by a night Porter. We were not told that breakfast was only until 10 AM, we had paid extra for breakfast and came down at around 10:05 to be told breakfast ended at 10. I have stayed at many hotels in the UK and around the world, and this was the only time that breakfast finished at 10. As this was a Sunday we expected breakfast to finish in line with all the other hotels, sadly it did not. This of course is not a problem if you are informed that that is when breakfast finishes, it was not only the fact that it did finished, but also the attitude of the staff who couldn’t care less if we were told or not told. The attitude was ‘ you missed it, tough’.
